The Facts About This Week's Open:
Another huge golf event this week at the Waste Management/Phoenix Open in Scottsdale Arizona.
It seems every week we discuss a few select handful of golfers. Do not get me wrong when I write that they all deserve the ink. It just shows you what a deep pool of talent exists in this year's talent pool, because when I say a few, I mean to mention at least twelve to fourteen players. Now, that is depth for the fantasy golf player in a 8 to 10 team league.
This week we will again discuss the favorites to start with some details for you to absorb before your selections on Thursday. So, without much further idle banter from me, here are this week's starts and sits.

Starts: Jon Rahm, all he does each week place in the Top Ten, no surprise indeed. Justin Thomas, a total stud that has only played a few tournaments so far in 2019. The possibly healed Hideki Matsuyama, a two-time champion of this event and a heavy favorite to win on Sunday, must prove he is back for good.
Okay for another pick it is a show me moment, let's take last year's cahmpion, Gary Woodland who may run away with the title if he can reclaim some of his steady play from last season. He now is in the Top 12 in these PGA categories: greens in regulation percentage (77.78), birdie average (5.22) and scoring average (69.853). All nice places to be coming into Arizona. Watch Xander Schauffele have a good rebound week as well...

Long shots: Phil Mickelson, Lefty has had some success on this course during his career.

Sits: It always pains me to write the name Tiger Woods for a sit. Rickie Fowler and Webb Simpson should also stay on the pine this week.
