Recap of Last Week's Starts or Sits at the Desert Classic
Not a bad first week of selections as the writer of this post, had two of these players on his team. Overall four of the six starts finished in the top ten last week. More than likely a let down in the cards...
Starts-
John Rahm -21 (6th place), Justin Rose -14 (34th Place), Patrick Cantlay -18 (9th Place), Adam Hadwin, -25 (T2 Place0 Chez Reavie -15 (28th Place) and Phil Mickelson -25 (T2 Place).
Average: -19.7, (13th Place), 6 for 6 Make Cut and 4 Top Ten Finishes.
Long Shot: Ryan Palmer -Did not finish in the top 51 golfers.
Sits-
Of the four players selected only one-Andrew Landry -15 (28th Place) finished in the top 51 golfers.

The Facts About This Week's Open:
Instead of boring you with the details of who is in the Event this week, let's go right for the starts and sits section of this report with a description of each player. Sound good mate?
Start- Tiger Woods, has won this tournament seven times (His last one in 2008), a natural fan favorite, and a must see on NBC TV this weekend.
Justin Rose, a class act all the way, hopes to recoup from last week's less than stellar finish. In this same category of golfer at Torrey Pines, consistent Jon Rahm, and like wise as dangerous to win Jason Day defends last year's title.
It gets kind of crazy with the selection options, so, here's two more for you to ponder this week: Patrick Reed, last year's Master's Champion, and a player I have always liked, Brandt Snedeker, who won this tournament in 2012 and then again in 2016.
Long Shots:Since the Farmer's is in San Diego this week, let's box three players, all SD State Aztec Alum former players:Charley Hoffman, J.J. Spaun and Xander Schauffele
Sit: It pains me to write that fellow Irish player the sensational Rory McIlroy, first Torrey Pines event might be a tough one. Jordan Speith (on my team and will start) looking to get it together after a three year hiatus from the Farmer's.Adam Long, won last week, don't believe the hype. Also, he cost my team extra points as he beat Lefty by one stroke. So revenge on my mind with this pick.

Have fun at this fan favorite event that will be watched by millions of Tiger fans this weekend. Remember it's all the way, go PGA!
The Commish.
