This season is shaping up to be an interesting one for a number of teams. The redemption tour label would apply for Detroit, Miami and James's Lakers. We will find out if LeBrun can by sheer determination lead a truly talent challenged squad to a 48 win season. The odds say no against that mark.

The next tier of teams, let's name them, the wannabes, are cities that had a better than expected season . The culprits would be Philadelphia, Indiana with very little on-floor talent, and Dallas (I thought their win total would be only 12-15), as the Mavericks have seen better days, take the under 34.5 victories this year.

The tweeners are the type of teams in the middle with a few good players. They are only one or two injuries away from the Draft Lottery rather than being a playoff squad. The teams are Toronto, Utah and Charlotte. The Jazz's ROY last year Mitchell, the real deal, lessened the loss of Heyward to Boston. However, if he went down with an injury, the 50 win estimate would be in jeopardy. But, I would still go under anyway with their win total prediction.

The stud selection category are Boston, Golden State, and Houston, all three teams should exceed their team win prediction for 2018-19. The losers, Atlanta at 24.5 wins, New Jersey 32, Chicago 30.5 all come under their win total amounts as 2019 Lottery Draft teams. Also, while not losers, an under win estimate for Denver at 47.5, should also apply for a wager. The reason being they are no lock in the ultra competitive Western Conference.

The last category would be called the surprise teams. Look for Washington with all world shooter gunner guard Wall and his dynamic duo partner Beal to win over 50 games. Include Minnesota also in that same category as Wiggins and Townsend mature into franchise elite players. 50 wins far and exceeds the low 40 to 45 win estimates by the experts. Here is another team that just may surprise you going the other way, the Cleveland CAVS. No James with weak minded and body center/forward Love, should equal a disaster for the Erie River boys as the estimate for them was 30.5. Also, take the under win total for the LA Clippers, as Doc Rivers will be gone after this season, with an estimate below 31 wins this year.

All in all, it should be a great NBA season, even if the Golden State Warriors hoist another championship banner to the rafters with an over win total of 65. The addition of Boogie Cousins and his inside game (once healthy enough to play) should face Boston in the NBA Finals. The Celtics and its Coach Brad Stevens, if they can keep key players off the IR may approach 60 wins.
